At Avocal Allied Health, we make it simple and seamless for referrers to connect children and families with the right support. Whether you’re a GP, teacher, case manager, or allied health colleague, we’re here to collaborate with you and provide high-quality, family-centered care.
We accept referrals for children and young people across a range of services, including:
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech Pathology

How to Refer
We accept referrals from:
- General Practitioners and Pediatricians
- Teachers, Principals, and School Wellbeing Teams
- NDIS Support Coordinators and Plan Managers
- Other Allied Health Professionals
- Families (self-referral also available)

What to Include
To ensure a smooth intake process, please include the following (where possible):
- Client’s full name and date of birth
- Parent/guardian contact details
- Reason for referral
- Relevant reports or background info
- Any funding information (e.g. NDIS, Medicare plan, private health)

What Happens Next?
Once we receive your referral:
1. Our intake team will contact the family directly within 2–3 business days.
2. We’ll match the child with the right clinician based on their needs and goals.
3. We’ll keep you in the loop (with consent), especially if you’re involved in ongoing care or coordination.
